La Bascula - Master of wine made wine
La Báscula is a project of English Ed Adams and South African Bruce Jack. Ed has a past as head of major wine merchants in the UK and in 1991 he passed the test, which allows him to call himself the Master of Wine. Bruce Jack is a trained oenologist and has grown and produced wine in Australia, Bordeaux, California, and, of course, in his native South Africa.
The two friends' passion for Spanish wine led to the formation of the company in 2006. La Báscula is the Spanish word for the bowl weight reproduced on the label. This symbol represents the balance of the wine. They work with selected producers from different wine regions and choose the best quality wine using local grapes varieties with their idea of blending for some wine.
