Description

La Báscula is a Spanish wine project created by Englishman Ed Adams MW and South African winemaker Bruce Jack to showcase the potential of local grape varieties in different wine region. The wines in the range have intrinsic balance; there is a balance between indigenous Spanish varieties and modern winemaking. 


This Atlantic Way is made of 100% Albariño, the most important grape variety in Rias Baixas. Influent by the Atlantic Ocean, this area is relative high humidity and a lot of rain during the year. This climate is why the Albariño so success - crisp, mouth-watering acidity. Albariño match so well with seafood especially with fresh oyster.


Cold fermented in stainless steel and then with 5 months contact with the fine lees, this glorious, crisp wine undergoes no malolactic fermentation. It has a delicious lime and mineral character and is perfect now but will also age well for at least 2 years.
