This wine is unique in many aspects. First, the vineyard is north facing and located at high altitude (800M above sea level) which mean the time exposure to the sun during the day is shorter than other vineyards as well as cooler at night. This microclimate as a result of the grapes delay of ripening and retain more acidity. The wine will more fresh and lighter. By the way, Cara Nord means facing north in Catalan. Second, the grape Trepat is indigenous to Conca de Barberà. This local grape variety used to make rose wine due to the aromatic character.
