Description

Now we have a small amount of 4 different vintages on the shelf - 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017

This Rose wine is created by Sarah and Rene project in Venus la Universal winery. They aim to make the color of wine more close to the rose wine in Provence in the South of France (PINK) rather than a usual rose wine in Spain (Light Red). However, the color is not the only factor they focusing on.  This is a complex, aromatic, fresh and balanced wine that aims to pairing with food very easily. They made it!

It's a blend of different soils and different grapes including white grapes such as Red Grenache, Macabeo , Carignan and little bit of white grape. Only 6000 bottle produced in this vintage. Definitely can improve in the bottle for few years. Best drink at 2018-2021.

Robertparker.com review:

RP91-93 "...the lively palate points at a very complete wine with great acidity and freshness and very good balance..."04/18

As Luis Gutiérrez from Wine Advocate mentioned: "The wines from Venus la Universal keep getting better and better, with great value in the Dido range (and a rosé that is more white than the white...) and a new amazing Garnacha from the village of La Figuera. And a truly awesome white Cartoixá from 2016.."
