Finca la Emperatriz was discontinuous this single-vineyard wine last year. So it is rare to find in the market now.
I have just tasted it again and I found the oak integrated very well.
Very complex, underpinned by a sweet backdrop of pastries and toast. After a short time in the glass, mineral notes typical of the local soil emerge. In the mouth it is very strong and corpulent, full-bodied, with verve and freshness. A multitude of flavors gives this wine great complexity and elegance.
If I close my eyes, I have a feeling of having a Puligny-Montrachet from Burgandy. I will match this wine with white fish or chicken with buttery sauce.
Only produce around 4000 bottles per vintage.
