La Barajuela 2016 is one of these wines that fall between stools, modern and classic at the same time. Like a blend of a full-bodied white wine and a current-day standard Fino. The wine is simply a delicious next-generation wine from Jerez. Only 1500 bottles filled. RP 95 points.

Grapes varties: 100% Palamino Fino
Nose: not a classic yeast-driven nose, but one with some intense fruity elements (melons, apples) and lots of savory notes (herbs, some vegetal / soy sauce, curry), and some walnuts too. A vivid nose, but very elegant at the same time.
Mouth: powerful and forthcoming. Lots of fruits still (melons, quinces) with nice acidity. Some nuts (almonds, hazelnuts), nice mineral notes, and a balanced bitterness certainly hint towards a standard Fino. Excellent balance of fruits and minerals, very juicy and fresh, with a long finish.
